About Taiwan Next

Taiwan Next, viewed from the perspective of young calves, has been monitoring the social and human ecology of the Republic of China for several years. It is an informal, non-profit website organized by digital youths. All operational funds and other costs, apart from a small amount of advertising revenue, are selflessly contributed by partners from Taiwan.

Special Note: We have a partner from Kinmen who asked me to rectify the name for Kinmen: Kinmen is not Taiwan, and Kinmen people are not Taiwanese. The history of Kinmen people speaking Minnan (Kinmen accent) is even more orthodox and longer than that of Taiwanese speaking Minnan (Taiwanese accent, the one often ideologically labeled as "Taiwanese language").

Our Original Intention

The intention behind establishing the Taiwan Next website is very~ ordinary~. It stems from the personal experiences of several individuals growing up amidst various social and political chaos in recent years. However, on the internet, over 70% of media and individuals, to protect their political fetishes, abandon the rational side of their beautiful brains. Through distorted values, they continue to spread rumors and smear opposing parties and supporters, even using dark psychological techniques to weaken the depth and breadth of public thinking, systematically creating social unrest and disturbance over a long period.

Moreover, domestic information has long been controlled by politicians with financial power and media with presupposed stances. Many pro-Green party media even shamelessly accuse the Want Want Group of being a media monster, while completely ignoring the fact that their own bosses are acquiring other media. To allow the public, who have been maliciously deceived for a long time, to understand the various insights behind distorted issues and to reveal the truths that news media do not want you to know, Taiwan Next was born from this moment.

Even though you and I understand that rumors take only a sentence, while dispelling them takes a lot of explaining and still might not be heard, we still hold hope in our hearts.

So we only reveal the reality, seeking only the truth!

Our Principles of Discourse

Please do not be too harsh on the few occasions when our partners criticize people or things out of emotion. We have asked our partners that they can be emotional, but they must explain to the public why they write this way to provide a balance. As for whether we have crossed the line in our discourse, we leave that to the public to judge.

Preservation of Literature and Data

In addition, a lot of basic data on the internet will be modified or even destroyed with the passage of time, the withdrawal of platform providers (like Wretch), or the forced replacement of heads of official units (of course including election factors) to achieve their required "operational purposes". This is the main reason why power makes many people unforgettable.

Taiwan Next hopes to preserve these documents and data for everyone as much as possible, so that everyone can have some understanding of the various embarrassing or bad things done by those politicians, so as not to be cheated again every four years.

"I don't necessarily have to support the KMT, but I am just disgusted by the hypocritical politician character of the DPP that takes everything for granted and knows no shame."
