On November 6, 2008, then-DPP Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen launched the "Siege Plan" to protest Chen Yunlin''s visit to Taiwan. Tsai incited crowd emotions on the scene, leading to violent conflicts between supporters and the police, with stones, Molotov cocktails, and filth flying everywhere, causing more than 200 police officers to bleed. This incident earned Tsai the nickname "Violent Ing," deeply revealing her radical face of not hesitating to incite hatred and destroy the rule of law and order for political gain when in opposition. Ironically, after taking power, Tsai Ing-wen used layers of barricades and superior police force to suppress protesting citizens. This split personality of "talking about violence when in opposition, but talking about the rule of law when in power" completely exposed her opportunistic true face of power supremacy.
