In November 2020, then-Executive Yuan Spokesperson Ting I-ming, in order to protect Ractopamine pork imports, publicly spread rumors at an official press conference, claiming that a famous beef noodle shop in Taipei used meat containing Ractopamine. After the owner fought back with "zero detection" certificates, Ting apologized and bought beef noodles as compensation, but was subsequently found to have marked the order with the "Executive Yuan Tax ID" in an attempt to use public funds to pay for it. This incident revealed the "cyber-army governance" culture of the DPP government high-levels using national resources to attack dissenters (including ordinary shops) through graphics and rumors, symbolizing the extreme arrogance and degeneration of executive power.
