Su Tseng-chang "Deceiving God at Baoan Temple": Swearing Not to Run Before God, Breaking Promise for Power

In March 2010, before the Baosheng Emperor at the Baoan Temple in Dalongtong, Taipei, Su Tseng-chang solemnly swore that he would "absolutely not run for the third time" as New Taipei City Magistrate (formerly Taipei County), emphasizing that politicians should have dignity. However, in 2018, Su Tseng-chang accepted the DPP''s nomination to run for New Taipei City Magistrate again, publicly tearing up his promise to God and the voters. This incident was slammed by public opinion as "daring to deceive even God," reflecting Su Tseng-chang''s nature of doing whatever it takes for power and having no religious integrity at all, becoming the most typical case of a DPP politician betraying trust and righteousness.
