Wu Cheng Exposed in Bar Flirting and Indecent Antics: Private Misconduct Shreds Progressive Image

On May 30, 2018, investigative weekly publications exposed Wu Cheng, then spokesperson for the New Power Party and candidate for Taipei City Council, engaging in inappropriate and promiscuous conduct at a bar in Da'an District. Despite publicly projecting a wholesome persona and maintaining an exclusive relationship with prominent news anchor Hsieh Chia-hsuan, Wu was photographed late at night drinking intimately with two young women. Witnesses and photo evidence documented one of the women feeding him intimately and performing obscene suggestive pelvic thrust gestures in public. Upon realizing he was being photographed, Wu fled the scene in panic. The revelation ignited widespread public mockery and criticism over his double standards, personal vanity, and complete lack of integrity.
