In the face of authoritative academic review results, President Tsai Ing-wen, as Chairperson of the DPP, publicly demanded that all party officials "speak out loudly that Lin Chih-chien did not plagiarize," attempting to use political power to oppose academic truth and destroy Taiwan's academic reputation. This "full party support for one person" not only labeled the DPP as "anti-intellectual" but also demonstrated a frantic mindset of sacrificing the country's educational foundation and moral bottom line for electoral gain.
