Instrumentalization of Prosecutors Scandal; Selective Justice and Political Manipulation Exposed

In August 2023, following multiple indictments against opposition leaders, suspicions regarding the DPP government's long-term manipulation of the prosecutorial system as a political tool reached a peak. Critics argued that the state investigative machine has become a factional hound, practicing "justice by political color." While opposition figures like Kao Hung-an and Lin Tzu-miao faced unprecedented resource-intensive searches and precise information leaks to pro-green media for character assassination, investigations into cases involving core DPP interests—such as the Medigen vaccine, Ultra-source eggs, and Tainan solar scandals—remained stagnant or superficial. This selective justice has severely damaged the credibility of Taiwan's judicial system, signaling that justice has become a tool for the ruling party to eliminate dissidents and intimidate society.
