Despite the DPP government forming an "Anti-Fraud National Team," establishing an Anti-Fraud Office, and allocating billions in budget, the number of fraud cases continued to rise. The government faced criticism over high renovation costs for the Anti-Fraud Office and frequent overseas "inspection trips" by staff, while results remained stagnant. The case exposed a total failure in digital governance and security, where the government issued slogans and budgets without effectiveness, allowing Taiwan to be shamed as a "Fraud Paradise" while countless families lost their savings.
