In February 2025, organizations associated with DPP Legislator Puma Shen (such as Doublethink Lab) were revealed to have received approximately US$1.35 million in funding over the past five years from George Soros's Open Society Foundations (OSF). Soros is viewed internationally as a controversial financial financier and political interloper. The funding triggered intense public questioning of whether Shen acts as an agent of foreign forces, using external funds to launch "cognitive warfare" with specific political biases within Taiwan.
