🤨 Questioning Foreign YouTubers Introducing Taiwan’s ‘Most Beautiful Scenery’
Recently, there have been some foreigners on YouTube who speak Chinese with a foreign accent, and some can even speak Taiwan-style Minnan (Taiwanese). Most of their video content is about how great Taiwanese people are, “Taiwan Number One,” how delicious Taiwanese food is, how beautiful Taiwan’s scenery is, how Taiwan is a unique treasure in the world…
The view count of such YouTube videos is usually very high. But here comes the question: why is it high???
🎯 Who are the Target Audience of the Videos?
It seems good for these foreign YouTubers to film introductions to Taiwan’s most beautiful scenery, but you… are… speaking… f*ing… Chinese**… Even their own parents probably can’t understand what they are filming.
As foreigners who clearly have the advantage of their foreign mother tongue, when they are introducing the beautiful scenery of the lands under the Republic of China such as Taiwan, Kinmen, Matsu, Penghu, Orchid Island, Green Island, and Xiaoliuqiu, they do not speak their own mother tongue, nor do they speak English, which is used in most places. This represents that these YouTubers are not sincerely promoting the greatness of Taiwan to the whole world at all.

- They perhaps also know that promoting Taiwan to their home country or the whole world wouldn’t bring any benefit.
🎭 Taiwanese People’s Inferiority Complex and the Feeling of Being Mocked
And why do we people in Taiwan, Kinmen, Matsu, Penghu, Orchid Island, and Green Island need to listen to foreigners introduce the land that we ourselves should be familiar with? Many of these foreigners even speak very superficially, not hitting the mark at all, yet many Taiwanese people still happily share and like them.
Every time I see these foreign YouTubers using Chinese to introduce how great Taiwan is, I feel a sense of being mocked. In fact, these foreigners are just exploiting the mindset of some Taiwanese people worshipping foreign things to earn the money that can be earned from the video being shared and viewed.
And those Taiwanese people who share and view the videos will happily say:
“Foreigners are introducing our Taiwan to the whole world, we should feel proud!”
Introducing your mother! The IQ of those part of Taiwanese people is simply seen through by foreigners; as long as it involves the part with the highest sense of inferiority, they will be particularly enthusiastic. 迫
