Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Xiao Ming, who loved to go to the “Happy Candy Kingdom” to play.
There were so many delicious candies, a singing chocolate river, and a huge carousel that everyone could play for free.
One day, Xiao Ming carried his schoolbag and happily wanted to enter the gate of the kingdom.
Unexpectedly, five scabby dogs with messy hair and scabs all over their bodies suddenly rushed out from the gate, blocking the road fiercely and letting no one in.
Xiao Ming asked politely: “Doggy brothers, can you make way? I want to go in and play on the carousel.”
The five scabby dogs shook their heads, showing sharp teeth and said: “No, no! This kingdom now listens to the five of us! If we say no entry, then no entry!”
Xiao Ming was curious: “But aren’t the rules of the kingdom decided by everyone together? Why do only the five of you have the final say?”
The scabby dogs laughed loudly: “Because on the far mountain, there is a super rogue Big Dog King, who is the best at playing rogue! He secretly told us that as long as the five of us bark hard together, the other dogs won’t dare to make a sound. We can play however we want, give candy to whoever we want, and give nothing to whoever we don’t want to give!”
Xiao Ming asked again: “But weren’t there fifteen watchdogs watching the door together before? Why are there only five of you left now?”
One scabby dog said proudly: “Because the Big Dog King deliberately dragged his feet and didn’t find new dogs to fill the seats. Later, the other dogs got angry and said ‘Then we need ten dogs to agree together to open the door in the future.’ The result? The door really closed, and no one can get in!”
Another scabby dog chimed in: “But the five of us thought it was too troublesome, so we announced loudly ourselves: ‘We don’t like that rule, so it doesn’t count! From today on, if the five of us say open the door, then open the door!’”
Xiao Ming was dumbfounded: “Is this… is this okay too? Aren’t rules agreed upon by everyone?”
The scabby dogs wagged their tails together: “Who cares about that! The Big Dog King said that as long as we stay put and bark hard, no one can do anything about us!”
Xiao Ming looked at the gate, then at the five scabby dogs, and felt very sad in his heart.
The originally happy Candy Kingdom has now become a place where only a few dogs can eat candy and play games, while other children can only stare blankly outside.
He whispered: “Rogue dogs look fierce, but the candy in the kingdom won’t increase just because you bark loudly, it will only make everyone more and more unhappy…”
The five scabby dogs heard it and continued to bark at the door.
But Xiao Ming believes that one day, everyone will find the rules back together, making the Candy Kingdom a place where every child can laugh again.
Because true happiness is never snatched by playing rogue, but is sweetest and happiest when everyone follows the rules and shares together!
The story is over, children, what do you think?
