This is what happens when Taiwan abandons Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu to establish an independent country:
Taiwan: Hello everyone, we are becoming the “Republic of Taiwan” now. Thank you.
International Community: Roger that!
Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu: The people in Taiwan don’t even see us as human.
Mainland China: Oh yeah! Now we have a reason to launch a war and use military force for sanctions.
International Community: China, why are you doing this?
Mainland China: Fine, then I’ll just implement an economic blockade against the “Republic of Taiwan.”
Republic of Taiwan: I need to seek help from the United Nations; I want to join the UN.
Mainland China: I’ll use my veto power. Not allowed.
Isn’t the situation crystal clear and obvious?
Without the idiotic revolution of independence advocates (who don’t even dare to truly revolt), the Republic of China would look like this:
Taiwan: Hello everyone, I am the Republic of China. But I am not the People’s Republic of China. We will use our own strength to be friendly to all countries, looking forward to peace and progress. We are definitely not as overbearing as the CCP. Please support us.
International Community: Great. Let’s all move toward a vision of global prosperity (Internal OS: We can use the ROC to balance the PRC).
Mainland China: (As long as “face” is saved, there’s no problem) Both sides of the strait are compatriots of the same language and race. Let us uphold peace and mutual benefit, set aside disputes, and jointly seek cooperation and development.
People of Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu: Long live the Republic of China!
Whether it’s the stupidity of pro-independence ideology or the absurdity of unification discourse, it’s all independence advocates shouting for personal gain. Wherever people’s hearts can be manipulated, these independence advocates completely ignore the current global situation and the efforts and blood shed by our ancestors.
KMT: I just want to develop Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu, yet I’m always the one who suffers.
DPP: … (holding a label-maker).
There is an idiom called “A mute person eating bitter herbs—unable to voice one’s suffering.” This is the best description of the KMT right now.
The KMT has not sold out Taiwan, nor does it want to unify with the Mainland. The KMT is simply living in the present moment where the Republic of China exists, yet they are constantly labeled as “pro-unification” by malicious “Green” supporters.
The sad part is that even when the KMT says it just wants Taiwan and the Mainland to cooperate for development and promote Taiwan’s economic growth, a bunch of netizens have already been brainwashed to the point where they won’t believe anything anyone says.
The island of Taiwan is already a territory of a sovereign independent country; its name is the Republic of China, encompassing Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu.
