💊 Chang Gung Hospital Exposed for Prescribing 45 Tablets Daily—Author Angrily Criticizes: Pharmacy System Exists in Name Only, Should Suspend Operations!

At noon I saw news that Chang Gung Hospital issued prescriptions for 45 tablets daily—an outrageous medication amount. Suddenly a question crossed my mind: “Why isn’t anyone demanding Chang Gung cease operations?”

Perhaps my doubt seems exaggerated to others, but I seriously believe Chang Gung must suspend operations, at minimum prohibiting new patient visits for at least three months. Because Chang Gung’s pharmacy and verification systems are frighteningly terrible. And Chang Gung’s response is even more disappointing. The hospital publicly stated: “We don’t rule out disciplinary action.” Basically meaning I might not punish anyone—that’s Chang Gung’s attitude toward this issue and facing errors.

🚨 The True Crisis: Minor Dose Errors

Today’s issue is the daily medication changed from three tablets to shockingly 45 tablets—obviously problematic at first glance.

But if one tablet becomes three, who among us common people can detect the error?

⚠️ Medication Dose Error Lethality

If you question my argument, thinking 1 or 3 tablets difference won’t affect the body, I’ll offer two commonly-seen examples.

1. Men’s Sacred Supplement: Viagra

Blue pills are units of 100mg, but for most people, only one-quarter the dosage achieves the intended effect. Meaning users must divide it themselves into one-quarter portions. Using excessive amounts can severely damage hearing and vision, even threaten life safety.

2. Colchicine Commonly Used for Gout Patients

This medication’s main components extract from pure plants but carries terrifying toxicity. General advice limits use to maximum five days, with daily dosage not exceeding 6mg. Common side effects include kidney and intestinal failure and neutropenia. Excessive amounts can severely damage bone marrow.

So looking back—if your doctor prescribed three Viagra pills at once or three times colchicine normal doses, do you think you’d be fine?
