🧐 Why Does the Opposition Ridicule “Adjusted Case Regression”?
The Truth Isn’t About Refusing to Fight the Epidemic—It’s About Mocking Double Standards!
A friend asked why the opposition camp ridicules the adjusted case numbers? Why do they contradict the Central Epidemic Command Center? Why can’t they unite with Taiwanese people to fight the epidemic together?
First, let me clarify one thing. The opposition hasn’t refused to unite and fight the epidemic together. The accusations are completely a typical smear tactic by green-brained supporters, creating hatred and divisiveness through their characteristic baseless conspiracy theories.
Actually, many green-brained people misunderstand something. The opposition isn’t mocking honest adjusted case numbers—if the government openly published all data transparently and honestly, people would accept corrections.
What Blue-Camp Supporters Are Mocking Is the Adjusted Case Numbers That Exist as Sacred and Immovable in the Hearts of Green Supporters
So why do green-brained people react like they’ve encountered mortal enemies when someone merely questions the term “adjusted case regression”? Suddenly countless memes and posts from DPP supporters come flooding out.
Actually, the first time I saw the term “adjusted case regression,” I only learned about it when green-camp friends started loudly cursing the blue camp over it…
As for “sharing a common fate”… this is truly something that only Great Taiwan Chauvinists would come up with as a new label… The Penghu Islands and Taiwan are two different islands. Does that mean Penghu people don’t have the same fate as Taiwanese people?? (See Shared Common Fate? What Great Taiwan Chauvinism Looks Like)
I’ve specially compiled several reasons below to explain why the opposition has such strong opinions about the term “adjusted case regression”:
Several Reasons the Opposition Mocks “Adjusted Case Regression”
- Mocking Double Standards: The opposition is really just mocking green-brained supporters’ consistent double standards. Last year they went crazy pointing out the mainland’s changing numbers. This year when it’s their turn, it becomes a test of whether Taiwan’s values are fully charged… such brainless behavior.
- The Absurdity of Inventing New Terminology: When proper professional statistical terminology already exists, they come up with this self-satisfied new term, showing that neither politicians nor backroom writers understand anything. The worst part is that even civil servants haven’t offered professional opinions. Whether they don’t dare or don’t understand, neither is good for Taiwanese people.
- It Just Seems Amusing: Especially when watching green-brained supporters mindlessly defend their bosses, they even voluntarily add various meanings to terms the government creates… like governing through slogans under communist rule, infinitely boosting the loyalty of green supporters—look how that tail-wagging loyalty goes… woof.
