For the Taiwan island, the mainland region’s influence on the ecological environment is far…far…far…greater than Japan’s, yet some young students doing science fair projects only use Japanese ecological environments to hammer away at Taiwan’s natural evolution.
Because Japan has certain biological species, Taiwan also has the same species, so some people try to use this to draw the two places’ relationships together. But these biological species clearly both originate from mainland China in the first place. This includes the 97% of Han Chinese people on Taiwan island.
Today’s young students are like they’re wearing a filter called China, completely unable to face squarely the humanistic history passed down by their 18 generations of Chinese ancestors. Everything originating from mainland China is deliberately ignored.
This socially expressed state of deep inferiority complex — is it a problem with us adults, or with students’ guidance teachers?
Going deep into education and reshaping Taiwan Independence ideology through education into Greater Taiwan Chauvinism is perhaps what advocates of Taiwan Independence have been doing all along. I’ve also encountered quite a few teachers with deep green political leanings like this, each one treating the false narrative in the 400-year Taiwan theory written by Taiwan Independence elder Shih Ming-teh like scripture to worship.
