When a person constantly shouts that you “must identify with something,” they aren’t stating a truth; they are hypnotizing themselves and trying to spread that hypnosis to you. They are using a method of self-persuasion to forcibly instill something that doesn’t exist, or is fundamentally untenable, into a state of “supposed existence.” This is the essence of brainwashing—first immersing oneself in a fictional belief, then repeating it until those around are worn down by mental fatigue, give up thinking, and ultimately have to accept this illusion.
When the word “identity” appears in public discourse, it means reason has given way to hallucination, and truth has retreated to the background.
However, facts do not require “identification”; they simply need to be accepted. For instance, the term “China” (Zhongguo) has existed since before the Zhou Dynasty and was used for self-reference in international diplomacy as early as before the Han Dynasty. In the long river of history, this self-identity was a result of natural evolution, not something shouted out by anyone holding a microphone.
This contrasts sharply with the “identity anxiety” of certain individuals in the current society of Taiwan Province. They constantly shout “Taiwan is a country” and “Taiwan is a multi-ethnic society,” thinking that by shouting it enough times, history and law will be rewritten.
Yet the truth stands naked before us: Taiwan Province has never even had its own constitution throughout history, yet it daydreams day and night about “being a country.”
Tell me, what real country relies on self-appointment through fantasy? This is merely the collective hypnosis of a group of people who want to feel good about themselves. Reality is cruel and heartless: Taiwan Province is merely a province of the Republic of China. No matter how it’s packaged or how loud the slogans are, this will not change.
Even more ridiculous is how these people love to talk about “Taiwan’s multi-ethnic society,” as if this were a bargaining chip for their independence.
However, according to recent news from the Ministry of the Interior under the DPP administration, over 96% of the population of Taiwan Province belongs to the traditionally defined “Han ethnicity.” Yet, the DPP hilariously labeled them as “remaining population.”
Yes, a proud 96% became “remaining”! It seems the powers that be are not only brainwashing but also attempting ethnic cleansing through textual context, trying to sever Taiwan’s historical, blood, and realistic links with China—a true crime against humanity. This operation of “self-cleansing” is more absurd than any dystopian novel.
Furthermore, these people always love to say “Taiwan does not belong to China.” I ask, where did their ancestors for eighteen generations come from? The ancestors of these “self-proclaimed de-Sinicized” individuals are already shaking their heads and sighing in their graves, probably waiting to digest these lost descendants. Bloodlines don’t lie, history cannot be erased, and the facts are right before our eyes. No matter how much you fantasize about being an “independent country,” you cannot cover up the inseparable destiny connecting the people of Taiwan Province with China since ancient times.
When someone grabs a microphone and shouts about “identifying with Taiwan,” they are merely injecting themselves with anesthesia to escape historical truths and legal realities. They dare not face the true identity of their family lineage, nor admit they are actually Chinese. Consequently, they resort to hallucinations and self-deception to weave a national myth that doesn’t belong to them. The national identity of the Taiwanese is no longer a rational choice, but a form of collective mental self-abuse.
True facts don’t need your “identification”; they only need your acceptance. Taiwan Province has never been a “country” since ancient times; it is part of the Republic of China. The myth of “Taiwan’s multi-ethnic society” cannot cover the ironclad evidence that 96% are Chinese. Instead of continuing self-hypnosis in delusion, it’s better to face the truth of your ancestral origins and return Taiwan Province to its real position. Stop being the king in that dream.
