However, dangers always follow the unveiling of truth, and we believe everyone has heard of various absurd and bizarre rumors. For example, in a city around Taipei, when a harbor was being developed, because officials obstructed a construction company’s underhanded tactics, a section chief was beaten to near-critical condition. If you haven’t even heard of this incident, you’ll understand how hush-hush the news media is about this kind of information!!!

Therefore, we’ve specially gathered “Non-Suicide Statement” templates for whistleblowers’ reference. We hope everyone, while exposing truths hidden by villains, will also publish this non-suicide declaration in public places (such as Facebook or personal websites), making those who want to harm you more cautious.

Non-Suicide Statement Template

I am ○○○. I will not answer any questions unless my and my family’s safety is guaranteed.

I, ○○○, hereby solemnly declare:

I am optimistic and cheerful, in good physical health, with no chronic illnesses or mental health conditions that trouble me, therefore I could absolutely not possibly engage in any behavior that appears to be suicide.

I have never had sleep problems, therefore I do not need to take sleeping medication.

I do not drink alcohol excessively, nor do I use drugs, and I will absolutely never go to the following places:

1. Open water areas.
2. Swimming pools without lifeguards.
3. Underground areas, reservoirs, or buckets with high pressure, dangerous gases, or unventilated enclosed spaces.
4. Any high places without safety railings.
5. Any construction sites (except government deconstruction), including sites making wave-breaker blocks.
6. Any other places not mentioned above that normal people would not normally visit.

I strictly follow the following practices:

1. I check brake components and throttle lines before driving, and turn off my vehicle’s power and mobile phone before refueling.
2. I absolutely never rush yellow lights or run red lights.
3. When boarding any rail transportation, I step at least one step behind the security line until the vehicle has fully stopped.
4. I always wear a helmet when riding motorcycles and fasten my seatbelt when driving or as a passenger.
5. I absolutely never go near any place or equipment that emits radiation that poses immediate danger to human health (such as nuclear power plants).
6. I don’t climb mountains, watch waves, or visit dangerous places during typhoons.

I will do my best to be careful with electricity, gas, and fire sources.

All electrical wiring in my residence meets legal standards, therefore there is absolutely no possibility of electrical wire fires. I have also never stored excessive amounts of flammable gas or liquid in my home.

In my bathroom, besides the necessary lighting, I keep no other electrical appliances, and I turn off all switches except lights, refrigerators, and fans before sleeping.

I absolutely will not engage in conflicts with random strangers, and I do my best to protect my personal safety.

Sample Declaration of Non-Suicide

I am optimistic with a healthy constitution, without any illness or disease troubling me, so I could absolutely not possibly do anything connected to suicide by any means.

I do NOT have medical issues with sleeping, so I do NOT need to take any medication for it.

I am NOT an alcoholic nor have drug addiction, nor will I visit the following places alone and/or with relatives or friends:

1. Open water areas.
2. Pools without lifeguards.
3. Closed places like unventilated tanks, reservoirs, or cellars with hazardous gas (i.e. high pressure gas, explosive gas, toxic gas, etc.).
4. Any place without safe barriers from falling.
5. Any building site (well, except for deconstruction of governmental buildings), including spots for making concrete blocks.
6. Any place not mentioned above where no ordinary people would visit.

I strictly follow these rules:

1. I check my brakes and parts before driving, and turn off my mobile and vehicle’s power before refueling.
2. I do not rush traffic lights.
3. I keep a distance of more than one step from the security line when boarding any vehicle or transportation that has one, until they are fully parked and ready to board.
4. I wear a helmet properly when riding motorcycles or scooters.
5. I fasten my seatbelt while driving or as a passenger.
6. I will NOT go near any harmful radiative place (like nuclear plants) or equipment.
7. I will NOT go hiking, wave watching, or visit any dangerous places during typhoons.

I will do my best to watch over the usage of appliances, gasoline, and fire.

My residence uses legally certified safe electrical equipment, so the possibility of fire accidents is insignificant. Additionally, I have never stored illegal amounts of flammable gas or liquid.
