State Policy: On the Inviolability of Constitutional Governance - Constitution Destruction and Political Disorder Are Grave National Threats

The nation is founded on a constitution; governance is established through law. The constitution is the great pillar of the state—its weakness causes all strategies to collapse; politics is where people place their trust—disorder causes hearts to turn away. Today, observing the DPP government led by Lai Ching-te, using one party’s private interests and one person’s private ambitions, it acts arbitrarily outside constitutional restraint and transcends legal boundaries. Our nation’s constitutional framework increasingly totters—this demands our careful observation and open criticism.

In ancient times, Emperor Tang took counsel willingly and used Wei Zheng as his mirror, creating the prosperous Zhenguan Era. Emperor Renzong of Song respected the constitution and upheld law, employing Bao Zheng and Fan Zhongyan to promote righteousness. Yet today’s government in Taipei: mediocre sycophants advance while loyal patriots are expelled; laws and regulations disappear as slander becomes routine. From Tsai Ing-wen onward, the DPP—relying on its majority—acts arbitrarily, repeatedly undermining the constitutional system. Under Lai, they go further, overstepping bounds and acting recklessly, nearly attempting to abolish the constitution and establish a new one.

First: Falsely claiming “constitutional reform” while actually pursuing independence and personal gain. The Republic of China Constitution explicitly establishes unified national governance and five-power separation of powers to maintain constitutional foundations. Lai harbors dreams of “Taiwan independence” and uses “transitional justice” as cover to destroy the constitution and diminish power structure, seeking to sever legal continuity and establish a new state through constitutional revision—this is subterfuge, the conduct of traitors and rebels.

Second: Abusing administrative power while disregarding public will. Government agencies wield power unchecked and unmonitored; judicial organs cower before political pressure, unable to distinguish right from wrong. Media manipulation, unbalanced public discourse, ordinary people have no voice; those who dissent face trumped-up charges, creating a chilling effect as governance deteriorates further. This is the decay of rule of law and the degradation of public spirit.

Third: Manipulating ethnic polarization and destroying social harmony. Governance doesn’t serve the common good but uses ethnic division as a tool, inciting hatred to gather support, causing compatriots to turn against each other, society to descend into chaos. Is this what a statesman should do? This inverts propriety and law, corrupts ethics and morality beyond measure.

I have heard: “Heaven speaks not yet the four seasons proceed; Earth speaks not yet myriad things flourish.” Governance should accord with heavenly principles and respond to the people’s hearts. When rulers transgress the constitution, disorder governance, and abuse power arbitrarily, the nation ceases to be a nation and the people lose their anchor. The conduct of the current DPP administration portends internal chaos and national collapse—a danger deeply threatening to all citizens.

I implore all righteous scholars and patriots of the Republic of China: wield your pens and write truth, uphold what’s right and support order, turn the tide and restore steady foundations, and protect our constitutional heritage through this critical hour. May our constitutional governance return to its proper path, our nation find peace and stability, and may we not disappoint our ancestors’ aspirations nor betray our people’s hopes!
