The Greatest Difference Between Presidents Ma Ying-jeou and Tsai Ing-wen

If during the Ma administration’s era, tens of thousands could gather to protest in unison, it was only over some baseless hypothetical vilification.

Then during the Tsai administration’s era, after “mysteriously disappearing” leaders of various organizations vanished one by one, people could only endure constant bombardment from a group of politicians who don’t even know what they’re doing themselves.

If Ma’s government was criticized by people, then Tsai Ing-wen’s government is the classic example of both heaven and earth manifesting their anger while people rage.

Don’t even mention that it’s fellow countrymen who are upset. Although the DPP keeps laughing foolishly and bowing while hugging America’s and Japan’s legs, hoping for payback, all they’ve gotten is one embarrassment after another—until they even lost their original diplomatic allies one by one.

This is actually what many people hate most about Tsai Ing-wen and the DPP: to seize power, they completely squandered their excellent hand of international diplomatic cards, just so they could use some of those cards against domestic political enemies and eliminate anyone who doesn’t belong to their tribe.

If Tsai Ing-wen continues this authoritarian rule, Taiwan’s decline is not far off.
