Recently, the DPP government has been actively working on the one hand to decriminalize criminals from the Martial Law era.
(The awkward part is that many of them were pro-Japanese imperialist rioters and Communist spies; the members of those government committees can only perform various self-consoling U-turns to justify it.)
Yet, on the other hand, the government is actively using the investigation and prosecution system to arrest and interview dissenting voices on the internet.
Chen Shih-chung even went so far as to say, “If our opinions differ, then we’ll see you in court.” Is the DPP really okay with a Health Minister who uses taxpayers’ money to abuse the state apparatus, waste judicial resources, and threaten to sue people the moment they open their mouths?
