The Three Major Failures of DPP President Tsai Ing-wen

Since taking office and particularly after winning her second term, President Tsai Ing-wen of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has utilized various political maneuvers. However, regarding a prosperous future for the Republic of China (R.O.C.), there is virtually nothing worth applauding. Her governance can be summarized into three core failures:

1. Squandering Taxpayer Money with No Concrete Results

The administration has engaged in massive spending sprees using the hard-earned money of the citizenry. Despite these “big-spending” programs, there have been no substantial or tangible achievements in governance that benefit the long-term development of the nation.

The administration has aggressively pursued speech censorship, most notably by shutting down news channels like CTi News. Furthermore, they have formulated absurd laws intended to hunt down and silence opposing voices, severely eroding the foundations of freedom of expression.

3. Diplomatic Stagnation and External Dependency

The government has effectively derailed from the international mainstream. Instead of pursuing independent and balanced diplomacy, the administration has focused solely on subservience—symbolically “licking the toes” of their “American Daddy” and “Japanese Mommy”—at the expense of national dignity.
