Every word is golden advice. Morris Chang, Chairman of TSMC, said: “To be a leader, there are essentially these seven tricks.” Let”s encourage each other.
Ⅰ. Calmness
- Don”t casually reveal your emotions.
- Don”t tell everyone your difficulties and experiences.
- Before soliciting others” opinions, think for yourself first, but don”t speak first.
- Don”t incessantly complain whenever you get a chance.
- For important decisions, try to consult with others, and it”s best to announce them a day later.
- Speak without any panic, and walk calmly too.
- Confidence is good, but don”t overlook anyone”s ideas.
- People are not high or low; don”t act arrogantly. Be polite to people and matters. You are no better than anyone else.
Ⅱ. Meticulousness
- Often ponder the cause-and-effect relationships of things happening around you.
- For problems that are not adequately addressed, uncover their fundamental root causes.
- For habitual ways of doing things, have suggestions for improvement or optimization.
- Develop the habit of being methodical and orderly in everything you do.
- Regularly find a few faults or drawbacks that others can”t see.
- Always be ready to fill in gaps wherever they arise.
Ⅲ. Courage
- Don”t frequently use phrases that lack confidence.
- Don”t frequently go back on your word or easily overturn decisions already made.
- In a crowd, don”t be indecisive when people are arguing endlessly.
- When the overall atmosphere is low, you need to be optimistic and positive.
- Do everything with dedication, because someone is watching you.
- When things don”t go well, take a break, look for a new breakthrough, and even if it ends, do so cleanly.
Ⅳ. Magnanimity
- Don”t intentionally turn potential partners into opponents.
- Don”t fuss over others” minor mistakes or errors.
- Be generous with money, learn the three kinds of giving (material giving, Dharma giving, fearless giving).
- Don”t have the arrogance of power or the prejudice of knowledge.
- All results and achievements should be shared with others.
Ⅴ. Substance
- Learn knowledge in various fields, humbly observe your surroundings. Broaden your horizons.
- Understand yourself and cultivate your own aesthetic taste.
- Smile at life. Laziness is unacceptable. Cultivate healthy living habits.
- Don”t do anything blindly. Have goals.
- Don”t just focus on inner beauty; outer beauty is also very important.
- Don”t spend all day on the computer, playing boring things.
- Judge rationally, learn to control emotions.
Ⅵ. Integrity
- Don”t say what you can”t do; if you say it, strive to do it.
- Don”t constantly mouth empty slogans or catchphrases.
- Stop all “immoral” means.
- Playing clever tricks is unacceptable!
Ⅶ. Responsibility
- When reviewing any mistake, start by reflecting on yourself or your own people.
- After a matter is concluded, first examine the faults, then list the merits.
- For a plan, consider the whole picture and plan for the future.
- Courageously bear the losses caused by responsibility.
